Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the Bluegrass Cornerstone website ("the Site") operated by Johnson Legal PLLC ("Johnson Legal," "the firm," "we"). Bluegrass Cornerstone is a registered assumed name (DBA) of Johnson Legal PLLC under KRS 365.015. These terms cover website use only. If you engage Johnson Legal for a document or other matter, the engagement is governed by a separate engagement letter you sign before representation begins.
1. Acceptance
By visiting the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Site is not legal advice
Bluegrass Cornerstone is a service of Johnson Legal PLLC. The Site provides general information about Kentucky legal documents and the Cornerstone catalog. Nothing on the Site is legal advice for your specific situation. Visiting the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship with Johnson Legal PLLC or any other attorney; an attorney-client relationship is formed only on execution of an engagement letter following a conflict check.
If your situation requires legal counsel, please consult a Kentucky-licensed attorney directly. Johnson Legal PLLC's intake form at johnsonbluegrasslaw.com/intake is one path; the Kentucky Bar Association's lawyer referral service is another.
3. Permitted use
You may browse the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may print or save individual pages for your own reference. You may not scrape the Site, mass-download content, or attempt to access non-public areas.
4. Intellectual property
The Site content — text, design, code, illustrations — is owned by Johnson Legal PLLC or used under license. The Bluegrass Cornerstone, ElderTrust, and Bluegrass FamilyPlan names and marks are used by Johnson Legal PLLC as registered assumed names or marks of the firm.
Citations to Kentucky statutes are to the public-domain text of the Kentucky Revised Statutes. Document templates are derived from Kentucky statutory forms where applicable.
5. Forms and submissions
When you submit a form on the Site (contact, waitlist), you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. Use of the contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship; see the disclaimer for the SCR 3.130(1.18) framing.
6. External links
The Site links to external sites — including the Kentucky Legislature's online statute library, the Kentucky Secretary of State notary lookup, and Johnson Legal PLLC's website. We are not responsible for the content of external sites.
7. Warranties and disclaimers
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Johnson Legal disclaims all express and implied warranties about the Site itself, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. This Site disclaimer is independent of the firm's obligations under the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct in any matter where the firm represents you under an engagement letter.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Johnson Legal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site, even if Johnson Legal has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation applies to website use; it does not limit any liability arising under the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct in matters where the firm represents you under an engagement letter.
These limitations do not apply to claims that cannot be limited under applicable law (including, where applicable, claims for personal injury caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hardin County, Kentucky.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this URL with the "last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will note the change at the top of the page.
